3rd Place Overall at Bosphorus Rally

 

We finished this years Bosphorus Rally in 3rd place overall. It was this rally where we won our first every overall rally in 20013, this year our teammate Murat Bostancı won the event and we were able to finish 3rd.

 

The most prestigious event of Turkish motorsport season is the Bosphorus Rally held between 15th and 17th of August in warm and sunny stages of Istanbul. This year we covered approximately 250km of special stages. Bosphorus Rally is also a part of the European Rally Cup which makes it an attractive event for foreignt competitors to visit our country. This year one of the guests for the rally was Oleksandr Saliuk whom you may remember from his huge jump in Rally of Turkey 2010.

Together with our teammate Murat Bostancı, we had set our sights on the podium for this years event. On the first stage one of our strongest rivals Yagiz Avci sufferent from brake problems and retired. This enabled us to drive a controlled rally with the goal of finishing on the podium in order to secure maximum points. At the end of 12 stages we were able to finish the rally 3rd overall behind Murat Bostanci and Oleksandr Saliuk.
