Second place at Hitit Rally
We finished the Hitit Rally in second place for two Wheel drive and class 6 categories. Hitit Rally is organized by Ankara Automobile Sports Club for the first time in Samsun this year. After the ceremonial start on the independence straight, we hit the road for the days stages. After three stages in the mountains, we came back down to the city or a special spectator stage. The crowd was absolutely fantastic and we finished the day 3.7 seconds ahead of our teammate and 8th overall.
We started the second day well, but our competition came to a prematüre end when our teammate Yagiz Avci had an off the road accident. It was decided by the team that we would not take any further risks and bring the cars safely to the finish.
As a team we managed to get second place, sixth place, and seventh place overall which brings pretty decent points for the teams championship.
We would like to thank all the management and technical crew for their efforts. The next rally is the final one of the season and we are back on tarmac after 4 months.

2WD Winners in ERC Bosphorus Rally!
Last weekends Bosphorus Rally is the longest round of the Turkish Rally Championship as well as being the 6th round of the European Rally Championship. Its been an absolutely crazy week with activites starting on Monday and the race adrenalin extending until Sunday afternoon.
Successful Istanbul Rally
The first gravel race of the 2012 Turkish National Rally Championship was completed by Istanbul Rally last weekend. It was a very important rally in terms of championship points so it was a must for us to reach the finish to get maximum points.
1st place in 2 Wheel Drive Category
Eskisehir Rally in 2011 was all new and had turned out to be great for us. This year, the stages were almost identical and we were very motivated following our second place finish in the first rally of the 2012 season.
We had a very unlucky start to the 2012 season as a team and we wanted to overcome that in this rally. We started the race with a sensible speed and increased it each loop. It was a goal we had set to ourselves prior to the rally and we are glad to have achieved it. We were also targeting to be in the top 10 with our front wheel drive Fiesta.
We had a very strong fight with my teammate Emre Yurdakul-Burak Erdener and we ended up winning the race in two wheel drive category and class 6 by barely over 1 second!
Now we have 4 gravel rallies and each one has a different character to it. We haven’t raced on gravel surface since Kocaeli Rally 2011 so we are super excited!

Tough Start To The Season
Its been a long 6 months since the last round of the Turkish National Rally Championship. We ended the season on a high winning the Class 6 and finishing the season 7th overall with our front wheel drive Ford Fiesta R2. The first race of the season is traditionally located on the coastal city of Izmir.
